Welcome to Radiate Students 2025 DNOW WKND at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church! We’re so excited that you’re going to be leading our students. We’ve been preparing for this weekend for months and praying for YOU and for every student who will be on our campus.
Our staff is here to support you! Please feel free to contact us with your questions, concerns, and even your great ideas. We’re here for you.
The DNOW Leader Meeting will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, November 7. The location is upstairs in our student area. Directions will be on signs in the main lobby if this is your first time on our campus. Come in through the entrance that says “Welcome to Burnt Hickory” and we’ll make sure you know where to go from there. We’ll have some snacks available to munch on during the meeting. Dinner for leaders and staff will be served before students arrive.
Leaders will receive a bag during the meeting. If you are late, please be sure to find our staff so we can get that to you as some things are needed for your students to have in hand before worship.

The Curriculum
You will receive a hard copy of the curriculum at our leader meeting, but we ask that you begin studying and preparing for your small group sessions NOW!

T-Shirts
Our shirts this year are an oversized style. As an adjustment we added a limited number size XS (for the tiny middle school children!). Please check with your students for sizes as XS was not an option the registration forms and let them know these run slightly larger than we typically have. Available sizes:
Extra Small | Small | Medium | Large | XL | 2XL | 3XL
It’s your responsibility to gather t-shirt sizes and pick up shirts on Saturday morning/afternoon for your students, yourself, and your host and co-host. Please grab your shirts during lunch Saturday in the Radiate Cafe, and instruct students to wear them Sunday morning. For hosts asking for their kids, please let them know that the shirts go to students first, and they can check back after DNOW is over. There are only Adult sizes available.
PRO TIP: When you get the shirts back to your host home you may want to have everyone take them out of the cellophane wrappers and let them air out. They have a bit of a chemical small to them.
Top 10 Rules for DNOW Weekend
The guidelines are listed below to (A) provide for you the very best spiritual environment free from as much of the world’s influence as possible, and to (B) protect you from any physical, mental, emotional, social, or spiritual harm during the weekend.
- Absolutely no changing groups unless cleared by Chip Paul.
- Devices are not allowed in small group or large group sessions, except to read Scripture.
- No unnecessary physical contact (your love life is on hold for the weekend).
- Be on time for all events at the church, as shown on the schedule.
- Be respectful to your Host, Leader, schedule, and the building all weekend.
- We LOVE Tribe Wars! We love that our students go all in to wear their tribe colors. However, NO Glitter out of respect for our host homes. If students want to use paint, they need to wait until they get to the church and put it on in the parking lot.
- No drinks, smokes, tokes, chews, vapes, porn, weapons, or illegal substances.
- Any pictures posted must be tagged with #radiatednow2025.
- Respect all other persons and property, especially that of the church and host homes. Absolutely no rolling/forking/pranking of any kind!
- Remember the purpose of this weekend, for students to grow in their faith in Jesus!
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN A CALL TO A RADIATE STAFF MEMBER AND PROBABLY A TRIP HOME!!!
Time Away Cards
If students from your group need to leave for sports, auditions, SAT’s, etc, they must have a Time Away Card, it must be signed by a parent, and then it is to be turned in to the adults for the Host Home. While these are not going to be in your posession, you should make yourself aware of when students need to leave and will join back up with your group so you can help keep an eye out for them.
