We are so excited it’s Summer Time! Even though school is out, Radiate has got it going on and we’re here for you with loads of activities to help you stay connected with your friends AND with Jesus.

All rising 9th Graders are invited to participate in both MS & HS events during the summer.
All graduated high school seniors are invited to participate in both HS & College events.
Any events that list a specific grade are based on the grade the student just completed.
Ongoing Activities
Radiate LifeGroups will continue on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 and 11 AM all summer long!
If you’ve never been to a LifeGroup, summer is a great time to jump in! Visit us at the Radiate Welcome Desk for a special guest goodie bag and we’ll direct you to your classroom and introduce you to our amazing leaders and students.
Refuel: Bible Study + Activities
Join us for our summer Bible study, Refuel, as we learn together, grow in our faith and dive into the book of Colossians.
July:
17 | Completed 8th-10th Grade Girls | 6-8 PM | Bowling @ Stars & Strikes* | Meet at Stars & Strikes | Cost: $30 | Registration Required | 8th-10th Grade Girls, you’re invited to come join us for an evening of bowling and girl time! Includes, bowling, laser tag, arcade & pizza!
20 | Rising 6th Graders & Parents | 12:30-1 PM | **Rising 6th Graders Parent Meeting | Radiate Auditorium | All students who are starting middle school this fall AND their parents are invited to come join us for a time to learn about Radiate Students, check out upcoming events, meet our staff, and get the inside scoop about our student ministry to help make the transition from children’s ministry to student ministry as smooth as possible.
20 | Completed 8th-10th Grade Guys | 6-8 PM Bowling @ Stars & Strikes* | Meet at Stars & Strikes | Cost: $30 | Registration Required | 8th-10th Grade Guys, you’re invited to come join us for an evening of bowling and hanging out with the guys. Includes bowling, laser tag, arcade & pizza.
21 | Rising & Completed 6th Grade | 10 AM-1 PM | **6th Grade Outing @ Stars & Strikes* | Meet at Stars & Strikes | Cost: $30 | Registration Required | All students who are starting or have completed 6th grade are invited to join us for our 6th grade outing at Stars & Strikes. Pizza, bowling, arcade and laser tag are included in the fun! Drop off & Pickup at Stars & Strikes
22 | Completed 8th Grade | 9:45 AM – 2 PM | 8th Grade Outing: Lake Day* | Paradise Marina | Cost: $35 | Registration & Medical Release Form Required | Drop off and Pickup at the Marina | As your student completes middle school and heads into high school, we want to celebrate this milestone! Meet us for a day on the lake! Wear your swimsuit and water shoes or strap-on sandals, bring your sunscreen and a towel and come ready for a day of FUN! Space is limited!
23 | HS (completed 8th-12th grade) | 6-8 PM | Refuel + Slip N Slide Kickball | BHBC Front Lawn | It’s time for a refuel from God’s word. Come join us as we dive in the book of Colossians! Then…the fun begins with a Radiate style game of Kickball combined with slip n slides. Come ready to get wet and bring a towel and your Bible!
28 | MS & Rising 6th Graders | 1-2:30 PM | **Refuel + Ice Cream | Lost Mountain Park | Hey, Middle School…come join us at Lost Mountain park. We’ll wrap up our Bible study in Colossians, then eat some yummy ice cream and play some games at the park. We can’t wait to hang out with you there!
August:
August 3 | MS & HS | Promotion Sunday | Radiate LifeGroups – all students will move up to the next grade in LifeGroups during the 9:30 & 11 AM Services
August 6 | MS & HS | Back to School Bash | We’re kicking off MDWK and a new school year with Paint Wars!
August 17 | MS & HS Parents & Students | Radiate All Access Night | Radiate Auditorium | 6:30-7:30 PM | Join us as we cast the vision for another year of Radiate Students…consider it your VIP Backstage Pass to all things Radiate! Will we announce the 2026 International Student Mission Trip? Yes. Yes we will. Plus we’ll share about some exciting events coming up in the 2025-26 school year!
Please note: All students traveling with Radiate this summer are required to fill out a 2025 Medical Release Form. This will cover all trips for the remainder of 2025. Please note this form must be notarized. Contact Maria at mthomas@burnthickory.com to set up a time Mondays-Thursdays if you need a notary.
*** Radiate Swimsuit Guidelines: Girls, one-pieces please, no strapless or cheeky suits. Guys, your swim shorts need to be appropriate as well.
