Why Sponsor Run for the Son?
For over 25 years, Run for the Son has brought our community together every first Saturday in February to support Radiate Student Ministry — and as an official Peachtree Road Race qualifier, it draws runners from well beyond our own church family. What started small has grown into a race day over 1,000 people strong — 700+ runners on the course, another 1,000+ phantom runners cheering us on from wherever they are, and more than 100 volunteers making it all happen. Every dollar raised goes directly toward student mission trips and the Eric Petty Memorial Scholarship — and your sponsorship puts your name in front of this entire community. We’ve got a place for you and we can’t wait to see you there!
What makes this race special?
Run for the Son 5K/10K proudly benefits the Burnt Hickory Baptist Radiate Student Ministry. All proceeds for this race go directly to help our students be able to engage in missions both locally and for our bi-annual student mission trip to Kenya where we partner with Swahiba Ministries to engage in ministry in Nairobi and Kibera. This race also helps to fund the Eric Petty Memorial Scholarship awarded to outstanding Christian leaders in the Radiate Student Ministry.

We are seeking partners to donate items that runners will LOVE: food, gift cards, water bottles, t-shirts, keychains, sports drinks, or anything that could be used as door prizes or prizes for overall winners. In exchange for a product donation, the following promotional services will be provided: corporate logo on t-shirts and recognition in our sponsor listing and on social media. Tables are available for In Kind sponsors who provide food or beverages for all of our racers. (Carbs & Coffee are welcome!)
